Marjorie is a progressive People leader who succeeds through team empowerment and empathy. She built and led the people function at Group Nine Media, which consists of four mission-driven, category-leading brands:  Thrillist (food, drink & travel), NowThis (news & entertainment), The Dodo (animals & activism) and Seeker (science, tech & exploration).  She led the merger and integration of these four brands and the creation of the Group Nine Media Company.  Empowering the team, she supports the population in all aspects of HR.  Most recently, she led the acquisition of JASH, a production studio based in Los Angeles, CA.

Prior to the Group Nine Media formation, she worked at Thrillist Media Group where she was the company’s first HR executive and successfully executed the spin-out of the Jackthreads business.  Before that, she worked at Everyday Health where she helped build the HR team and worked on several M&A transactions.  With over 15 years of experience, she built her career working in the tech, publishing, e-commerce, and digital media space.

Outside of work, Marjorie is a founding member of Post’d.  A networking group aimed at bringing together people professionals to learn, network, and inspire one another.  She loves to travel, has made it to six out of the seven continents, and her list of visited countries grows every year.
