Chris heads up the strategy team at Barkley, leading everything from high-level brand and business-building ideas to everyday communications. His experience spans categories - from retail to apparel to travel and non-profit. His recent work includes a series of turnaround efforts, including Dairy Queen and its "Fan Food. Not Fast Food" campaign, which led to three straight years of category-beating growth; Russell Athletic and its Clio and REGGIE-award-winning #SettleYourScore campaign, where Russell partnered with losing high school football teams; and Spirit Airlines, with its “Bare Fare” rebranding campaign that helped turn around the negative perception of the airline.
He’s helped lead Barkley in various new business ventures in 2017, and is continuing to grow the Barkley strategy practice. Chris believes in power of generalist strategists - those who constantly connect dots, know how to think, write, and do, and help fuel every idea, from creative to media to business. His favorite work from Barkley are unconventional ideas where the response is simply, “How’d you guys pull that off?”
