Carol is responsible for managing the end-to-end live, virtual and consultative experience for 170+ US and global mid-to large sized organizational members. Her advisory services include best practices, business intelligence management and consulting on topics including D&I strategy, ERG impact, talent management and acquisition, benchmarking and global inclusive leadership development.
Carol brings a wealth of inclusion, marketing and talent experience to DBP. She most recently founded Tangerine-Watson Inc., a cross-cultural talent consultancy practice where she provided strategic expertise and consultancy on diverse talent recruitment and retention strategies with a focus on advertising, marketing, media and sales. Her firm is known for the Impact Study, the first perception study of diverse advertising professionals in the industry. Prior to , Carol launched an advertising career starting in advertising and then onto publishing where she held sales and marketing management roles at the New York Times, Essence Magazine and as Publisher of Vibe magazine.
Ms. Watson has served as a facilitator of unconscious bias learning and leadership development, served as an ICF certified executive coach, and former President, Board of Directors of She Runs It (formerly named Advertising Women of New York). She also holds an MSOD from Pepperdine University as well as IDI and MBTI certifications.
